Ann Marie began yoga at the age of 16. Her first style of yoga practiced was Kundalini. She attend Virginia Polytechnic university in Blacksburg, Virginia where she took her yoga with her. She started the “Yoga Club” and taught free classes to the community for 3 years. Upon graduation she moved to California.

She took a liking to the Ashtanga style, as taught by Patabi Jois. She studied under Ann Austin, whose energetic and intelligent personality inspired her to study yoga further and deeper. Ann Marie also studied Ashantga yoga with David Swenson. She then did a longer Ashtnaga program with Paul Dalligan in Thailand. This year she has trained with Paul Grilley, an incredible anatomist and educator. Woven in between these trainings she has attended various workshops and conferences with the following teachers: Ana Forrest, Shiva Rae, Baron Baptiste, Roger Cole, Patricia Walden, Patabi Jois, Gary Kraftsow, Tias Little, and several others.

Now having taught for 10 years, Ann Marie continues to share her knowledge of yoga through various styles, including vinyasa, yin, and Ashtanga.
